Experience

Infrastructure Professional Service

 Successfully marketed and sold a +$26MM Revenue, $6.0MM Adj, EBITDA IT Infrastructure Professional Service company. Client also had a software app that was negotiated with the sale. 


Company focused on long-term project driven activities. MRR was below 25%. 


Sold to a PE owned IT platform company for $34.0MM (+) gross purchase price. 5.7X TTM Adjusted EBITDA.

PE Backed IT Network Design

Successfully closed on an add-on acquisition for a PE backed IT network design, build and deploy company for a gross purchase price of $16.7 million.


Add-on acquisition gave the client a leading national position in a targeted end-use vertical. 

IT Managed Service Company

 Successfully marketed and sold a +$4.5M Revenue, negative EBITDA, IT Managed Service Company (MSP) divested by a large Professional Service Company.


Parent saw their MSP as no longer strategic to its core business after growing it organically for 3 years. It was a drain of capital away from other strategic initiatives.


This spinoff company was sold to a strategic buyer as an add-on investment for $4.0MM gross purchase price for9X TTM Rev. 

IT Managed Service Company

Engaged by a NY Private Equity firm to assist their Platform CEO in acquiring add-on investments in a roll-up for their IT Managed Service Company (MSP). 


Closed the first add-on MSP (1.0X Revenue). Owner was looking to withdrawal form the business and client viewed it as a “Customer List” opportunity.

IT Managed Service Company

Engaged by a NY Private Equity firm to assist their Platform CEO in acquiring add-on investments in a roll-up for their IT Managed Service Company (MSP). 


Closed the second MSP, add-on acquisition (7.0X TTM EBITDA, 1.14X TTM Revenue).  Client saw this as an opportunity for geographic expansion with a full-service, independent division with growth opportunities.  The owner had personal family issues and needed to exit.

Closed the first add-on MSP (1.0X Revenue). Owner was looking to withdrawal form

SaaS KYC Business Information Platform

Successfully marketed and sold a SaaS KYC Business Information Platform 


Gross Sales price 5.5X revenues. VCs and investors felt that a strategic buyer with a large client base could scale the platform more quickly then organic growth


Lead investor was a Venture Capital fund


Sold in an all-cash deal to a Global Enterprise Strategic Buyer.

Successfully facilitated a $3.0MM Series A Seed Round for a Fin Tech Merchant Payment Processing Company.


Successfully supported the sale of the Company to a strategic co-investor for $20.0MM. 

Strategic Buyer

Engaged by a Strategic Buyer of hard asset transportation companies to identify and negotiate the acquisition of add-on investments in the Southeast.


Closed the first add-on acquisition. 

Fin Tech Startup

Columbiad Capital Advisors and our Associates have been involved in several Fin Tech start-ups/launch & sale of a Pay Card Firm and have held C-Level positions at a range of financial institutions

Professional Service Company

Restructured the entire debt portfolio for a financial service industry focused Professional Service Company. Resulted in significant free cash flow improvement and improved liquidity for the client (Q3 2019)

Retail

Restructured the secured and unsecured debt portfolio of a Leisure Activity/Retail Sales business, including forbearance agreements on existing debt obligations while supporting the operational turnaround strategy (Q4 2020).

Insurance Brokerage Agency

Columbiad Capital Advisors negotiated and sold its minority interest in a successful Insurance Brokerage Agency (Q1 2019) and was able to stand-up and raise growth capital for its wholly owned, growing and profitable Mortgage Brokerage Business (Q2 2019).

Professional Service Company

Restructured the entire debt portfolio for a financial service industry focused Professional Service Company. Resulted in significant free cash flow improvement and improved liquidity for the client.
